The knitbrooks Sparrow Lake Beanie is a double brimmed slouchy hat, with loads of texture in the slouch! Sparrow Lake is a beautiful piece of cottage country heaven in the Muskoka area of Ontario Canada, and a wonderful place to throw on a cozy hat while exploring the woods or walking along the lake.
This is a great pattern for the beginner looking for something a little more challenging than a simple slouchy hat, but not too complicated. Made in a bulky yarn, this hat works up quickly for a beautiful autumn and winter accessory (with or without a pom) you’ll definitely love.
Materials required
- Approximately 90 - 100 yards of super bulky (6 weight) yarn
- 9.00mm circular knitting needles
- Scissors, darning needle
- Basic knitting knowledge required: Knitting in the round, knitting two together, yarn overs.
- Photos are included for how to make the double brim, perfect for anyone who is a visual learner.
