This small batch of yarn is made from the 2023 and 2024 fleeces of Angus and Hyrum, Kelly's two Shetland wethers. Angus, a creamy white, and Hyrum, a soft brown, came to Kelly and Scott as a bonded bromance from a neighbour who wanted to give them greener pastures. Their 2023 fleeces were processed individually, and their 2024 fleeces were were combined. Listing price is per skein

YARN

  • 100% Shetland, single ply super bulky weight
  • 130g super bulky weight skein: 109 yards / 99 meters
  • Yarn is untreated, and the natural colour of the fleece
  • Choose from Angus, Hyrum, or Angus + Hyrum combined

    PROCESS
Kelly's sheep spend the spring, summer and fall happily grazing the fields of Kelly and Scott's property, and are fed hay and corn during the winter. They're sheared in the spring, and the fleeces go to Taproot Fibre Mill in the Annapolis Valley to be processed into beautiful yarn.

    CARE
All items made with untreated (non-superwash) wool should be hand washed in cold water, and laid flat to dry. Spot cleaning will help prolong the life of your knitwear!
